Christina, who has a knack for stumbling upon (and solving) real-life mysteries, heads to Savannah, GA, where she and her Girl Scout friends are eager to join in the festivities for the National Camporee celebrating the Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary. Although they are staying with Mimi, Christina's mystery-writing grandmother, Christina reassures the girls that on this trip, there will be no funny business and no mysteries. But as they begin exploring the historic city, they discover that someone is leaving creepy clues that lead them to River Street, a spooky cemetery, on a ghost tour, and even to Juliette Gordon Low's home. Soon, they find themselves in the middle of a real mystery that is going to need all the Scouting skills they have, as well as their friendship, to work out! With just a few days until the Camporee begins, the girls put their skills into action to solve a mystery filled with giggles, goose bumps and "s'more!" Friendship and practical skills are major components of the Girl Scouts, and these four young ladies have to use both. "The Giggling Ghost Girl Scout Mystery" is a read for young ladies themselves as they go to Savannah, Georgia for a big Camporee, but find a mystery within a nearby famous birthplace. Four daring girls armed with their scouting skills and friendship vow to get to the bottom of it before the Camporee is over. "The Giggling Ghost Girl Scout Mystery" is a very much recommended pick for those readers who are stepping away from picturebooks and are easing into novel-styled tales."
Review ForeWord Review - August 24, 2012
The glamor and glitz of girl scouting will entice young readers into this mystery set in Savannah, Georgia...A story that shows the adventurous possibilities of scouting for girls in an utterly safe and entirely “girly” environment that will almost certainly lead moms who were scouts to reminisce aloud and locate—or start—troops for their own daughters.
