Acclaimed Children’s Mystery Author to Appear at Savannah Children’s Book Festival
Savannah, GA –Georgia publisher Gallopade International has recently announced that nationally
acclaimed author Carole Marsh will be in attendance at the 2011 Savannah
Children’s Book Festival, which will take place 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, November 19 at
Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia. The highly sought after children’s author will be signing books, meeting young fans, and enjoying the festivities
with her colleagues.
A resident of Savannah, Marsh is the author behind more than 80 educational
mysteries for young readers, including her newest title, The Mystery of Mimi’s Haunted Book Shop, which was recently released to the delight of fans nationwide. Following in the
signature tradition of her other Real Kids! Real Places! mysteries, The Mystery of Mimi’s Haunted Book Shop features real children as characters. In the new book, Marsh’s grandchildren, Christina and Grant, solve a mystery in their family’s real-life hometown of Peachtree City, GA.
Another new and notable release debuting at the Savannah Children’s Book Festival is Marsh’s latest tween/YA novel, WHEN KIDS TAKE OVER NASA. This heart-thumping fiction story follows five bright Houston students to the
now-shuttered Johnson Space Center on what begins as a school assignment and
turns into a mission to get America back into space! Forrest Schultz from
Southside Book Review proclaims the novel is “lively, well-written and educational because of all the scientific and
historical information.”
Though best known for her children’s mysteries, which are famous for attracting even the most reluctant readers,
Marsh is also the beloved author of hundreds of other children’s books and educational materials, including the Georgia Experience social
studies curriculum program for grades K-8. A tireless advocate of literacy, her
books and educational products make her one of Savannah’s most esteemed residents. From quaint and humble beginnings, Marsh’s career and publishing house have grown exponentially since, but Marsh has
maintained her hallmark spunk, creativity, and passion over the past 30-plus
years.
