Highly Demanded Children’s Mystery Author Makes Homecoming Appearance at Barnes & Noble in Greenville, North Carolina
Greenville, NC – Nationally acclaimed children’s author Carole Marsh is kicking off the New Year with a rip-roaring return to
young fans and old friends in the Greenville, North Carolina area. After
spending the afternoon with students at Ridgewood Elementary School in
Winterville, the author will be available for autographing at the Greenville
Barnes & Noble in the University Commons Shopping Center on January 24, 2012, from 5 p.m.
to 7 p.m.
Coinciding with Marsh’s author signing is the launch of her latest Real Kids! Real Places! America’s National Book Series titles: The Baseball Mystery, The Great Train Mystery, and The Awesome Atlanta Mystery. All 48 books in the wildly popular Real Kids! Real Places! America’s National Book Series are a part of Accelerated Reader, and several have been added to the new Common
Core Maps recommended works lists. The three new titles, scheduled for release
in January 2012, will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble along with a variety of her best-selling releases including The Mystery of Mimi’s Haunted Book Shop and her latest tween/YA novel, WHEN KIDS TAKE OVER NASA.
More than 30 years ago, the residents of the Greenville and Winterville
communities were the first to embrace Marsh as a novice author and support the
launch of her Blackbeard-inspired novel, The Missing Head Mystery. Eventually renamed The Mystery of Blackbeard the Pirate, the story features her real-life son and daughter as characters in the book.
Over the years, Marsh has continued writing with her trademark style, and The
Carole Marsh Fan Club has received more than 8,500 applications from young
readers who want to be a part of her next book.
Though best known for her children’s mysteries, which are famous for attracting even the most reluctant readers,
Marsh is also the beloved author of hundreds of other children’s books and educational materials. As a tireless advocate of literacy, her books
and educational products make her one of North Carolina’s most esteemed authors.
From quaint and humble beginnings, Marsh’s career has grown exponentially since.
Her publishing house, Gallopade, has earned many awards including the Learning
Magazine’s Teacher’s Choice Award, iParenting Media Award for Greatest Products, and the NSSEA
Excellence in Education Awards.
