JOIN CHILDREN’S AUTHOR FOR A VISIT… ANYWHERE! Award-Winning Author, Carole Marsh, Introduces Virtual Author Visit DVD
Peachtree City, GA—Gallopade International announces the debut of a NEW Virtual Author Visit DVD by award-winning children’s author, Carole Marsh. The visit includes information about how the writer fulfilled her childhood desire to be a writer as well as how she started her family owned and operated business, Gallopade International. Viewers also meet members of the author’s family and learn about the different book series that she writes.
The idea for Marsh’s “virtual visit” was inspired by the many requests the author has to make visits to schools, libraries, and stores across the country. Marsh has learned the ropes on many school visits throughout her over 25 years of writing children’s books. She knows exactly what kids are interested in hearing from her and what educator’s want them to hear.
“I know that teachers need a resource to help give the “to do’s and not do’s” when it comes to writing and what better way to share the information than through a DVD.” The author continues, “I made it my personal mission to offer a fun and educational resource that we could give free to those who were interested.” The DVD also includes extras such as a question & answer session, writing tips for kids, and a mystery writing activity. These were created so that teachers and schools could show the visit as time permits.
The DVD provides information about the Carole Marsh Mysteries series, which include a number of internationally popular books for reader’s ages 6-14. The Real Kids/Real Places series includes books set in some of America’s most famous locations, including most recently in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Other series explore different locations across the world—both real and imaginary!
Marsh features real children in many of her books, with a lot of selected from applications sent to her fan club website, www.carolemarshmysteries.com. These highly respected educational titles are widely used in elementary and middle schools across the U.S., and are popular in reading programs and book clubs. The books are also part of the Accelerated Reader program.
Midwest Book Review recently called Carole Marsh Mysteries, “a true gem of original, informative and entertaining storytelling.” And, Christian School Products Magazine says that the mysteries “are a great way to incorporate reading into other curriculum areas. Boy and girl characters in every story make these suitable for all kids.”
Carole Marsh is also the creator and author of “State Stuff”, a series of educational books, workbooks, maps, CD-ROMs and other materials widely used by elementary schools throughout the United States. The products are correlated to each state’s educational standards.
