Gallopade International | Anne Frank Press Release
Anne Frank, A Girl and Her Diary
New Orleans, Louisiana—Gallopade International has a new addition to the popular 1000 Readers™ series. Anne Frank, A Girl and Her Diary has just been introduced in light of the traveling exhibit Anne Frank: A History for Today at the National World War II Museum. Hiding in a secret room for over two years with her family, Anne kept a diary of her experiences. This diary became her best friend. She once wrote that she hoped to become a famous writer some day.
The 1000 Readers™ are short biographies on historical and contemporary people and subjects written for children in grades 1–4. They feature high interest topics like explorers, presidents, African Americans, women, inventors, and many more. Each reader is interspersed with a combination of reading, trivia, matching, word games, puzzles, word searches, mazes, quizzes and even a glossary.
"All was quiet as I discovered my 7-year-old son Dylan eating his cereal with one hand and solving puzzles with the other," says mother, Stacy Clark. "The variety and creativity of the activities make the 1000 Readers™ truly accessible to young children. They make reading more engaging than TV or computer games."
"The 1000 Readers™ are great for individual and group reading programs, meeting state and national curriculum standards, library programs, social studies, and have countless other terrific educational uses," says publisher Michele Yother.
